- Brine is not flowing – Flush out the brine line. Next, check and replace the injector and filter screen. Inspect the brine line for breaks and damages. Make sure that the brine line pressure is set according to what is stated in the water softener manual.

Cleaning the Injector to Fix Water Softener Problems
Set the water softener to the bypass mode so that the main water line does not pass through the water treatment system. Some brands also require you to disconnect the unit from the electrical source. Unscrew the injector cap and remove the screen and the injector nozzle. You should carefully read the water softener manual to determine where these water softener parts are located. Remove and clean the screen with soapy water, then rinse it in clear water. Replace the screen if it is damaged. Refer to the water softener manual when you clean the nozzle using canned air, a small wire or a paper clip.
